This special tour highlights the history of women in Swiss federal politics since the introduction of women’s suffrage in 1971. It presents the challenges faced by the first female parliamentarians, their path into politics, and how women’s representation has developed over time. The tour also looks at how women are represented in the art and architecture of the Parliament building and the symbolic role they play in Swiss democracy.

Entry rules:
• Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the tour for identity and security checks.
• Bring a valid photo ID (passport, ID card, or driver’s license from CH/EU).
• Late arrivals cannot be admitted.
• Large bags and liquids are not allowed (except medication or baby food).
• Only small bags are permitted inside; lockers are available at the entrance.
• Please wear appropriate clothing and follow staff instructions.
• Photos are allowed inside (without flash), but not from the parliamentary galleries. Video recording is not permitted.

As places are limited, we kindly ask you to register only if you are sure you can attend. If your plans change, please let us know as soon as possible so someone else can take your place.
